Alla Prima Oil Portraits for Beginners and Advanced Students

In this workshop, you will paint portraits directly from a live model. You will work alla prima, painting wet-into-wet in a single session. This approach helps you identify what is essential, make clear decisions, and see the portrait as a whole.

You will complete at least three portrait studies: a pickout (wash), a monochrome portrait, and a full-color portrait. All exercises are done directly from the live model. On the second day, the model will be available for both sessions, allowing you to work on a longer color portrait.

The workshop is suitable for both beginners and advanced students. Exercises are adapted to your individual level, allowing everyone to work at their own pace and gain valuable insights for their painting practice.
