Fundamentals: Alla Prima Portraits in Oil

In this painting workshop, we focus on direct portrait painting in oil. You will work alla prima, meaning wet-on-wet in a single layer, while the paint is still wet. Depending on your skill level, you will either paint from handouts and busts or portraits from photos. In the final session on Sunday, everyone will have the opportunity to paint a portrait from a live model.

The goal of the workshop is to teach you various methods and techniques for portrait painting.
