Improve your Fundamentals of Figure Drawing

In the fundamentals course of figure drawing, we deepen your knowledge to draw people realistically. To learn as effectively as possible, you will draw many simple figures as well as a few more detailed drawings. Gradually, we will focus on foreshortening, shading, and basic anatomy. The instructor demonstrates all techniques and is present throughout the course for questions or corrections.

This drawing class is suitable for beginners as well as advanced students from fields such as fashion design, illustration, and character design who want to improve their figurative drawings.

• Improving proportions and movement
• Structure and form
• Measuring and shading
• Drawing long and short poses from photos
• Preparation for life drawing from a model

Prerequisites for this drawing class

You should already be reasonably confident in drawing a figure and be familiar with terms such as values, edges, or negative shapes.

Drawing Materials

For this drawing class, we recommend using charcoal pencils on newsprint paper. Alternatively, you can also use pencils and other smooth paper, at least in A3 size. You can find recommendations for drawing materials in our material lists.

Group instructions will be in German. And your personal feedback in English.
