Learn figure drawing from a live model

In this advanced figure drawing class, you will refine your skills and techniques for drawing the human form. Each week, you will work with a live model, focusing on both short gesture sketches and longer, more detailed studies. The class emphasizes dynamic poses, accurate proportions, and capturing movement in your drawings.

The instructor will provide guidance and feedback throughout the sessions to help you enhance your understanding of anatomy and improve your overall figure drawing ability.

Content of the Drawing Class

• Applying and deepening figure drawing fundamentals
• Dynamic poses and gesture drawing
• Accurate proportions and anatomy
• Detailed studies of the human form
• Short and long poses (2 minutes to 2 hours)
• Model costs are included in the price
• The Model poses from 18:45 to 20:45

Prerequisites for this Drawing Class

This class is suitable for both beginners and advanced students. However, you should already have some drawing experience. For a comprehensive basics program, we recommend starting with our Drawing Basics class first.

Drawing Materials

For this drawing class, we recommend using charcoal pencils on newsprint paper. Alternatively, you can also use pencils and other smooth paper, at least in A3 size. You can find recommendations for drawing materials in our material lists.

Group instructions will be in German. And your personal feedback in English.

All content from the focus classes is also part of the atelier course, which allows you to join at any time. So you don’t have to wait for a new class date if none is currently announced.
The classes are designed as a boost to intensively learn a specific skill in a group.
